Established in 1984, this evolution of the Pig Fish design is inspired by the late-great homie, DMFW and his love for taking a Sharpie to anything he could. The hoodie is titled evolution because it’s all the elements of what made up the Bo-Hawg in’84, but new.

Our 2 Cents

If your merch looks faded or distressed, then you got the right item. All elements were sketched, leaving raw edges, gaps in between lines, and transparency.

This is a spin off the “Backstage Merch” I did for some close friends. I wanted something that broke up all the elements that make up some of our merch. For example, the date 1984 stands alone and is centered on the chest. It’s the center piece of the origin. The name, The Bo-Hawg, is down the sleeve — not to be corny, but you know, name on the sleeve. And on the back…just the Pig Fish solo.

Backstage Merch

This shirt was made for the invisible inventors and mechanics of music festivals and concerts. The creators of the crowd’s experience. The ones that make it heady and trippy. The people you most likely never see, but the ones I spent the last decade of my life with.

The simple black-and-white color scheme is a nod to that culture. The design is a sketch I did of The Bo-Hawg name and Pig Fish using a Sharpie. They are raw, filled with blank spaces where I didn’t go back and fill in areas all the way, or imperfect shapes made of lines that are too long, or jagged. It’s a real sketch. Just like you might do while doodling.

Our 2 Cents

It is very personal design, to be honest. I used my friend Wyatt’s love for markers as inspiration for the design. But it might be my favorite thing we’ve created yet. It was never intended for sale, but it had such a huge response that I wanted to spread the extras.

I wrote a lot about this, talking about meeting Shaynee Lee and working music festivals. Meeting Wyatt, one of my best friends, and his untimely death. Feel free to read about all of that on our blog, Pig Fish Tales.

O.G. Red and Blue

This is one of the O.G. (Original Greenberry) color schemes: red and blue. I remember this color scheme more from his Bo-Hawg Fishing Team t-shirts that he rocked throughout my entire life, and recreated in the late 2000s…but used the URL instead of the name on the back .

Sticker Dimension and Info: 2.5″ vinyl stickers with a protective laminate, and a supa’ dupa’ strong adhesive to keep them stuck like glue. These suckers are pretty strong against the elements (wind, rain, snow, etc.) but sometimes even the strongest sticker is no match for the bottom rack of a dishwasher.

Ocean Breeze Pig Fish Sleeve

This design has 3 Ocean Breeze neon Pig Fish on the left sleeve, and bears The Bo-Hawg name and established date on the chest. The white hoodie really brings out the neon teal, yellow, blue, and pink hues. Talk about looking pretty fresh under some pretty lights.

I tried to tell you that an all-white hoodie/shirt with some bright colors is a recipe for the best visuals. If you’re hanging in the natural light, good stuff. If you are under the black lights, good stuff. If you are under some really trippy lights, well, different kind of stuff.
